Hi,

So this is a thread to try and make the selections for your Monsoon Reservoir system that little bit easier.

Here you can ask questions about any parts or what you will need.

You can post pictures of your basket if you would like me to check the parts to see if they are correct.

You can also post pictures of your completed Reservoir to see what ideas people have come up with or even to use as a guide.

These Reservoirs are very nice and the build quality is very good which you can tell when you see and feel the products.

The options available allow you to select different products like a D5 and pump top, A whole reservoir with a D5 or without, even a bay reservoir with a tube reservoir attached or not. The options available are unique and creative to allow you to match your builds the way you would like it.

Plenty of useful building videos here:

A little Guide for Reservoir Parts:

Reservoir Tubes: These are basically your starting point and will determine the size of your other components. These come in sizes of 50mm, 100mm, 200mm, 250mm and 300mm. They also come in a few selected colours of Clear, Black and Blood Red.

Tension Rods:
These are designed to hold the selected tops for the Reservoir into place and tight on top of the Reservoir tube to ensure no fluid gets out. Like the reservoir these come in sizes of 50mm, 100mm, 200mm, 250mm and 300mm and you select the size to match your reservoir tube. The also come in select colours of Black, Red, Chrome and White.

Reservoir End Caps:
There a couple of different styles of tops depending on your build. So the options are:
Reservoir End Caps - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/search?sSearch=mmrs+end+caps

Triple End port: This has 3 holes on top to allow you to have an inlet and allow you to fill the loop. You could also have it at the bottom so you could have an inlet and outlet in the same place.

Solid End Cap: This will more than likely be on the top of the reservoir when you have a triple port at the bottom or a cap with dual side ports.
Single End Cap: This can be used as a inlet port at the top of the reservoir if you have a fill port elsewhere. You could also have this at the bottom of the reservoir as an outlet.

Solid End Cap with Dual Side Ports: This cap allows you to have a closed top with the fluid coming out of the sides of the reservoir instead of the top or bottom to allow better tubing and less bends and angle fittings.

Single Port End Cap with Dual Side Ports: This gives you the option to have the pump connected to the single port and and outlet from the side through one of the dual ports. You could also use this to go into the dual side ports and then out the single port.

Triple Port End Cap with Dual Side Ports: This has many option and is the most versatile of the end caps with options to put you loop in many different ways with inlet and outlet ports on the side and the top.

End Cap With D5 Pump Mount: This is needed if you want to attach a D5 pump to the reservoir as it is a mounting point and with out this you will not be able to add a pump.

Fill Drain Port Base: This cap is designed to work with the "Fill Drain Port Square/Round Caps" The idea is to have the base on the reservoir and then the cap on the outside of the case to allow easy filling.

Reservoir Mounts:
These are a mixture of different ways to mount your reservoir to your case:
Reservoir Mounts - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/search?sSearch=mmrs+mount

Standard Mounts: These are your normal mounting style brackets that come in 25mm and 50mm sizes and a select colours of black, red, chrome and white. These are attached to the reservoir and then a little cap on the rear of the case to hold the reservoir into place.

Vertical Mounts: These are a little more discreet and come with different load bearing bars to make sure the weight is not a problem for the case.

12cm Stand Alone Pump Mount: Like the other mounts this allows for your reservoir to mount it horizontally or vertically.

Fill Drain Port Caps:
These are designed to go on the outside of the case to allow easy filling of your reservoir. You mount this outside and it will be attached to the fill port base on the reservoir. These come in either a round or square shape and colours of either black, red, chrome, white

CCFL Bulbs:
These are designed to light up you PC the way you would like. The come in a couple of varieties. These do not come with an inverter but these are sold separate. A lot of people already have the inverter with cathodes that they have so it is a separate option. Types of bulbs:
CCFL Bulbs - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/search?sSearch=mmrs+bulb

Dual Bulb CCFL Light: This bulb is designed to be mounted to the reservoir to highlight you chosen design and fluid. They attach to the mounts that you have selected with ease. These come in sizes to match your reservoir so 50mm, 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm and 300mm and colours of black, red, chrome, white.

CCFL Bulb Two-Pack: These are case lights that very bright and actually the colour they say they are. These do not mount with sticky pads or Velcro these are attached with screws so you do not have to worry about them falling when they get hot.

D5 Pump Mouniting Cover:
This is required to hold your D5 pump to the reservoir. You will need to select this item a long with the End Cap With D5 Pump Mount. Having these parts will ensure you have no problems. The Caps come in colours of black, red, chrome and White.

Plugs:
These are basically needed to cover any extra ports that you do not want to use and come in colours of black, red, chrome and white.

A little Guide to Bay/Tube Reservoir

Two Tube Reservoir (Bay Reservoir):
Unlike other Bay Reservoirs this one is modular and allows you modify it to include a tube Reservoir as well.

Two Tube Reservoir
This unit come as standard with the Bay Reservoir in the colour of choice with a D5 mounting cover. The Reservoir as a glass front unlike the plastic on other reservoirs and has a think alloy front frame. These come in black, red, chrome and white kits.

Tension Rods:
These are designed to hold the reservoir tube and basesin place and tight against the bay Reservoir to ensure no fluid gets out. Like the reservoir these come in sizes of 50mm, 100mm, 200mm, 250mm and 300mm and you select the size to match your reservoir tube. The also come in select colours of Black, Red, Chrome and White.

Reservoir End Caps:
Only one of the base caps is really an option and that is the D5 pump top base as it allows you to add the D5 to the end of the reservoir like the Bay Reservoirs original design.

This is a 50mm Reservoir with a D5 pump included with White cathode lights at the rear.

Looks pretty good.

Howdy, @Robbie - don't suppose there are any other variations of the tops planned? Love the design mostly but I don't want the retention bars, I prefer the clean look without which seems like its not possible without a threaded tube/tops.

Cheers

Hi, I'm afraid not I think this is a design that monsoon have come up with to stand out and make there reservoirs that little bit different. I have not been sent any other details to say otherwise so this looks like the only options.

In stock and delivered! Bottom of the reservoir is going to be changed to a single port like the top, but must say I'm rather liking these Monsoon MMRS reservoirs :D

These are very high quality and as mentioned already very modular. The only thing i the looks... They feel a tad over the top for me, especially when the bolts on the outside cover so many parts of the res. So perhaps not a great res for clean looking systems ? But seeing as looks are subjective and up to the customer's own opinion, I rate them highly :)

We have started to do in house pre built Monsoon Reservoirs with your standard single port in the top and triple port at the bottom. They are available in 250mm sizes which includes a 200mm tube and 25mm ends. Mounting is included also so they are ready to go straight into your loop. We have them available in Red, White, Black, Green and Chrome. Stock is limited at the moment but we hope to have better stock over the next month.

Check them out below.

Do you know if they have any plans for a different variant? I love the idea but really dislike the caged in style over the threaded top/bottom usual.

I'd also like a custom copper/acrylic triple bay res for my copper build if they want to make me that too :)
