Which M.2 as a boot drive for Asus Maximus Viii Hero?

Anyone out there know if there are some M.2 drives that would better suit this motherboard as a boot drive?

I was looking at two Samsung 512mb options, either

One is AHCI and one is NVMe, does it matter which I choose?
