Christmas breakfast ideas

Anyone have any suggestions for what to cook or prepare for a 'traditional' and slightly unusual Christmas breakfast.

A big fry up, with champagne and orange juice to drink

That's my Christmas morning breakfast of choice.

I seem to hear a fair bit about smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.

Go into a supermarket christmas eve and you'd be lucky to find even the organic specially flavoured ones left.

mimosa/Buck's Fizz and sweet pastry type things be it danish, cinnamon rolls, croissants etc.

Slice of pandoro, lightly sprinkled with icing sugar, grilled and topped with bacon and maple syrup.

My christmas breakfast tradition is Croissants with gammon and cheese baked gently in the oven with a nice glass of fresh orange juice.

I do bagels with either; smoked salmon and eggs, or cream cheese, or bacon. Either/or. Served with Champagne. Always the same.

I usually do some nice sausages, bacon and scrambles eggs for the wife, kids and myself. This year we're hosting the dinner instead of going to my parents or my sisters, so I'm going to skip breakfast as I'll probably be picking during the cooking. Don't want to be stuffed before dinner

I'll be doing eggs benedict I think. I haven't done it before but I plan to make the muffins from scratch, I'll do a trail run in the next few weeks.

As far as drinks go, there will be a choice of tea, coffee, Tropicana and freshly squeezed orange juice. So the same drink choices as normal really.

We usually have smoked salmon and scrambled egg + some croissants if there is still space.

we have croissants, mix of nice italian and spanish hams and some quality brie

We usually have croissants and Bucks Fizz / OJ. I cant really see the point of doing a huge fry-up when you're going to have a massive Xmas dinner a few hours later.

an old works tradition for Christmas day breakfast was a bottle of beer and a terrys chocolate orange

then I do my own thing which is usually bucks fizz and bacon sarnies (altho some years that turns into a full on fry up)

I love the fact Christmas day is socially acceptable to drink alcohol at breakfast time

We always have croissants on Christmas morning. Don't want too much given the carnage which is going to occur as the day rolls on ...

I normally plough my way through a box of Ferrero Rocher. Throw a large gin in there, too.
