A failed Syrian asylum seeker has blown himself up and injured 12 other people with a backpack bomb near a festival in the south German town of Ansbach.
The state of Bavaria's interior minister said the 27-year-old man had detonated the device after being refused entry to the music festival.

If this isn't time to ban middle eastern immigration I don't know what is!!!

He should have been on this first boat back

Pity then she comes from a country that wrote the book on why all members of society should not follow orders or laws if they are not ethically sound. It would have been a great defence otherwise!

that is a thread about a knife attack a completely separate incident, someone has mentioned the explosion in there but it is rather unrelated to the thread topic....

People are discussing the incident in that thread and it seems poinless to keep opening new threads every time yet another incident occurs in Germany.

It makes very little sense to merge - the thread was about a Syrian who killed a co-worker he was seemingly infatuated with, not a terror attack

this topic is a Syrian who is a suicide bomber/terrorist

the two incidents are unrelated aside from both perpetrators being Syrian

If a random murder happens in the UK and we have a thread about it, suspect happens to be black, do we then update the thread if another black person commits a crime or act of terrorism?

I can understand having a general German terror related thread but adding a terror attack to a thread about a murder of a co-worker is just nonsense as the only link is race/religion.

This failed terror attack should be hailed as a blessing really.

Had this exploded in the festival - as intended - the body count would be higher. We should let that be the basis of the attack and that it was stopped.

I've already seen a couple of tweets going round this morning saying "he only killed himself"... So that makes it ok then. His intent was something else entirely.

We know nothing about any of these people and when ISIS openly boast they will use the influx as cover to send ISIS operatives to Europe our/the European leaders fail in their most fundamental duty to their citizens.
