I've never found them (cloth or tactile surface types) to be the same after washing - spent way to much on replacements. If it isn't to bad antibacterial wipes work.

Depends on the mouse mat tbh. I just use the spot clean attachment from my carpet cleaner with some Bissell Oxy clean and scotch guard protection formula. Comes out looking brand new and drys within 10 mins.

I have 2 of the XL overclockers mats they just go in the washing machine on a gentle wash at 30 degrees then air dry which honestly takes for ever, I think it was 2 days to dry last time I washed them should be faster in betted weather though :)

Takes 2 days for my QCK's too.
