Keyboard and mouse seem to have failed.. Suggestions?

Trusty old Steelseries 6Gv2 seems to be kicking the bucket. The left shift does not seem to register a press very often, even if I remove the key and press the switch down with my finger, it only seems to register once every dozen presses. it may be repairable, but meh, I may as well get a new one, it's pretty old.

Mouse (Zowie EC2) also knackered, the clip that holds the left click into the housing underneath is broken (an immature moment of rage)


Just wondering if anyone can spec me some replacements on the CHEAP/BUDGET end of the scale?

I was looking at the Razer Blackwidow (£69 on OCUK) and the Steelseries Rival 300 (£49 on OCUK) but together that's £130 with deliv and more than I wanted to pay ideally at the moment. Can anyone recommend any just as good that might save me a few quid? Note, the keyboard wants to be mechanical if at all possible

The keyboard is what I replaced my 6GV2 with and is identical, but green backlit.

The mouse is what I replaced my Steelseries Sensei Pro with as it is the same shape as the pro, and the Zowie mice as well, so you should find the transition very smooth.

And the green lighting on both complements each other.

Thanks mate I appreciate that! Panic over though as the missus came home from work yesterday with a Steelseries Apex M800 and a Steelseries Rival 700. Both on sale in Currys apparently. Girl done good, to say she knows nothing about computers!
