Easiest way to transfer all data from S3 to new Asus Zenphone?

can anyone recommend a free and easy way to transfer chats, photos, contacts and app settings from a Samsung S3 to an Asus Zenfone 6?

Chats, photos, contacts and some app settings can be stored in your Google account and synced with your new phone easily. It's all I generally use, other than app specific backups, ie WhatsApp sync with Drive, Nova Launcher settings backup, etc.

As dbmzk1 said; most things will be backed up with Google. Make sure you have Google photos and set it to auto backup. Some apps allow you sync and backup with Google.
