I'm looking to get a Caselabs SM8 when they resume taking orders and one of the rep says when it returns the two tone option will not be available

so I guess my only option is to get a black case the get the external panels painted i'm currently thinking a titanium grey colour

do you guys recommend any particular companies? preferably in London so i can walk it in and out

will any automotive painter do or should I find one that specialises in aluminium or painted cases specifically?

googling this is not as easy as it would appear either so any advice will be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I don't know if this would be considered a competitor as such, so apologies in advance if so, but Chilled PC offer a case painting service, so you may want to check them out, although they are based in Wales.

Have you considered vinyl wrap? I have done this myself recently on an InWin 303 case, and the results are surprisingly effective. There is a Titanium 3M brushed vinyl that I used myself... this one...

Have you thought about Hydro-Dipping instead of painting?

Google Hydro-Dipping and take a look at all the different finishes that can be done. Some lovely stuff going on via Hydro-Dipping.

I have just put my Corsair Carbide 400C front and side panel in for treatment today with a local company (I got lucky and found a good place only 6-7 miles away from home). As OCUK don't do Hydro-dipping then I don't think dropping you the website will be a problem.

You may actually find something a little closer to you if you search the web. They do some lovely snakeskin and carbon films and the finish is amazing. It's also relatively cheap compared to custom painting. I am paying £60 for the side panel and front to be done with this film.....

I have no connection to this company and the first time I went there was today, so I will update with some pictures soon.

Might be worth a shout if you want that custom look :)

I think I've seen that hydro dipping before done on an alloy wheel. It's crazy, the dip it in the liquid, move it around a bit and it comes out with the image on there. Clever stuff. Look forward to seeing how that turns out maonayze, be sure to post some pics when it's done.
