Hi All

I have purchased and fitted 16gb DDR3 2133mhz RAM, however speccy and my bios show that it is running at 1333mhz

XMP is already enabled and set to profile1 (the only other option)

I followed advice online and left the other options to auto

Updated BIOS and my motherboard (GA-Z68X-UD3P-B3) says it supports the following...

4 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 32 GB of system memory
Support for DDR3 2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules

No matter what I do I cant get it to run above that, I tried manually setting it to 21.33 but sometimes when I have XMP enabled or try doing that I get an error saying the system has experienced issues due to overclocking or change in voltages, if I press any key it boots normally but runs at 1333mhz

Any ideas?

What memory is it & is it 4x4gb sticks or 2x8gb?
If 4x4gb try running just 2 sticks to see if it will run at 2133mhz

Also, I was always under the impression DDR3 had to run at 1.65v for 2133mhz

I had similar issues to you. After a few attempts, I did the auto overclock function on my motherboard and I got it to overclock past 2133mhz as the auto overclock increased the BLCK to 103. It's now running at just under 2200mhz which is fine for me. I could tweak it but I can't be arsed.

The voltage is still at 1.5 btw.
