Should I keep my old 1600Mhz RAM for new system

Hi Guys,

Am just building a new system.

Was planning on keeping PSU, RAM and SSD/HDDs from my last system.

New components are: 6600k, 1 x 1070, H80i, new MOBO.

The RAM I have is 2 x 4GB 1600Mhz DDR3 Corsair Vengence LP.

It's just occurred to me that the RAM is probably quite outdated.

Should I be upgrading it? I could have course just whack in another 8GB of the same, but it seems like as there is just newer stuff available that I should just be replacing.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Don't you need DDR4 ram with a 6600K?

Or does the mobo support DDR3 as well?
