fresh windows 10 install on new laptop?

Hi,

I've ordered a budget laptop pre-installed with windows 10.

looking at reviews it seems a good laptop but suffers from quite a bit of manufacturers bloatware.

I've been reading the below article about preforming a fresh install to get rid of the bloatware.

The article suggests that windows 10 will recognise your hardware and auto activate... Can anyone confirm this as I don't want to wipe a new laptop and find out the activated version of windows won't let me reinstall.

That is correct, the product key is stored in the UEFI and will automatically activate.
