Stuff to do in August

Got family coming over in August, need stuff to do.

Obviously London and all it's museums and whatnot.

We're also looking at:

Cheddar Gorge / Bath.
Splashdown Waterpark.
Thorpe Park.
Airkix.
Aston Martin day (can't remember the circuit)
Submarine Museum
Eastbourne Air Show
Cadbury World (dunno, she wants to go there)
Crossness Pumping Station
Greenwich (royal observatory, cutty sark, etc)
Windsor Castle (maybe Lego land, might seem a bit noncy )
London Zoo

Trying to think of more. Preferably cheap as I'm paying for all four of us and not too far from London.

Anyone else got any ideas?

Seconded, takes the best part of a day to get around all of it too.

Don't know if the national gallery's free too but that's really good.

A day trip to see chavs in their natural environment?

Cheers folks. We've got loads of museums planned, including the British museum and science museum. National Gallery, Tates (both of them), war museum and many more.
