*** The Official Star Wars Battlefront Thread ***

For those that don't already know. It was announced in 2013 that EA had managed to acquire an exclusive Star Wars Game license following Disney's buyout of the Star Wars rights.

On the back of this, they announced at E3 that DICE would be making the next Star Wars Battlefront game


Reveal Trailer

The reveal is Friday and a reddit user has already managed to grab a sneek pic of the banner on the show floor

The Main Star Wars Reveal is Thursday, bu the EA panel revealing Battlefront is Friday at 18:30 UK time

"EA will stream its panel the following day, Friday April 17 at 10.30am PDT/1.30pm EDT."

There were two, and they were brilliant games.

Hang on, so what is this game, is it a fps like battlefield but with stormtroopers and speeders etc or a RTS game?

As if this is an action fps then holy mother of sweet baby Jesus, really? If so I'll throw money onto my ps4 in a hope this game appears on my screen.

I haven't seen a decent star wars game since Jedi knight on the PC. The sequel to dark forces.

Im more concerned that so many gamers haven't played or heard of the original Battlefront games. I loved them on my PS2 especially the second one flying into an enemy starship and blowing stuff up then flying out of the hanger bay

I quite enjoyed the Star Wars Force Unleashed games! I take it I'm in the minority?

The first one was ok ish, was a technical mess on ps3 but PC version played ok and erm no I didn't know battlefront was on ps2.

Those previous games presumably aren't on the same league as this though?
