i already did, he dont like them. he does sit at this computer. but the pc he had was from the stone age. i have tryed formatting it and fixing it for him and its like over 10 years old. it was running windows vista on it. now he wants one that isnt as slow, but not to pricey as he wont use it for gaming just internet use and edit some pics of tattoos etc

To be honest I'd just go pre-built at this kind of budget, prices on components are up a bit compared to 6 months ago and that might not be reflected in some pre-built machines yet.

If he doesn't need windows, no point getting a pre built machine
You can do this pretty cheap...

  • Intel i3 6100
  • Asus H110M-K DDR4 ATX motherboard
  • WD Blue 1TB HDD
  • Corsair Vengeance 1x8GB DDR4
  • BitFenix Nova Case
  • Corsair VS450w PSU

Comes to a total of £312.74 (not from overclockers)

you know you can buy pre built machines with or without windows from overclockers

Very poor quality internals, poor efficiency and they are only a tier 4 psu (tier 1 being the best, 5 being the worst) means that they wouldn't come near any pc that I own or build, no matter how low power the pc was. We don't even recommend the Corsair CX series on here let alone the VS series which is a even lower quality psu. The psu is simply not the place to save money.

Under £300 so room to add an SSD or something later if he wants a performance boost but for photo editing it wont really make a huge difference other than loading in and saving/exporting ect.
