Hi guys
I'm sure this is a simple question for those in the know, anyway my desktop pc stopped working a few days ago, I took the side off and found the problem, the motherboard is fried, so my question is: if I install a new motherboard in my desktop will it boot up as my hard drive as a genuine windows op on it, I would appreciate some advice............. thanks guys

Its hit or miss really, it is known for hardware to lock to motherboards, but i'm pretty sure you can ring microsoft and they will sort it for you.

just think of hardware testers who constantly swap and change hardware, they cant get a new OS every time
