Hey fellas,

PC as in sig. Couple weeks ago I started PC, got POST code 00, could not get into BIOS. Previous day PC was running fine for hours, clocked at 4.5, XMP enabled.

After many hours faffing around, pulling out RAM to leave 1 stick, many CMOS clearings, eventually managed to get into BIOS. Ended up flashing BIOS, and PC restarted and got into windows.

2 weeks later and it has happened again. After dozens of attempts to get into BIOS, managed once, got into windows. But had to test if the PC would boot OK again. Did it heck! :(

Wondering whether motherboard or PSU on way out??

Ideas/help really most welcome, cheers

Clear the CMOS (BIOS) and see what happens. Also might be an idea to change the battery as it may be losing settings after a while.

Could even be the CPU playing up. Doubt the PSU would bring up a bios error.

See OP, many CMOS clearings done. MSI crazily put the battery behind shielding, prettu much impossinle to reach with dismantling system.

My build is one year old, with only a BeQuiet psu inherited from an early system 6 years ago. Picking up replacement Seasonic tomorrow as a starting point.

Fingers crossed the new PSU has resolved the problem, Pc boots to windows, have gone back into BIOS and set CPU to 45x100 and enabled XMP, so far so good.

Seasonic Prime 850W is a lovely piece of kit by the way.

Will report back in few weeks if system remains stable or if more issues, in case this helps other folks with similar issue.
