1 x 8GB or 2 x 4GB?

Is for a new Skylake build.

My thinking is, 1x 8GB now, then maybe add another later.

Would I be missing out a great deal in real terms if I use single stick and forego dual channel?

Is only for light gaming and simple tasks.

It depends on who you talk to but basically, there should be a benefit running dual vs single channel. How much of a benefit though...
