If they can inject a bit more money into the team to make them a bit more competitive then that, as already said, would be great.

Have they announced who they are replacing Ocon with yet?

Well, it turns out they were really close to financial collapse - they have now entered administration. Paging Ron Denis...!

Not even OVO's recent price hikes could save them :)

Dear Honda, please buy Manor with Ron so McLaren can have another team to compete with the GP2 engine and another car painted grey on the grid. Bring back some Japanese drivers, or Maldonado. With the synergy of the partnership rebrand the team to "Ronda".

So Filipe Nasr who won 2 points for Sauber in 2016 looks likely to be the one caused Manor to go over the edge and now won't even be able to drive for them, gutted for him, and Manor.

It looks like it's the race team that have gone bust not the F1 license holder so possibilities still remain for a Honda/Dennis/Lowden deal.

Andi.

Can't help but think how different things might have been for Manor (or Marussia as it as was back then) if the Japanese GP stewards hadn't sent a recovery vehicle out onto a live racetrack in 2014. Jules Bianchi's crash was what led to the original Russian backer Andrei Cheglakov pulling out and the team having to scramble to make the 2015 grid. If Jules had not come across a recovery truck, then Cheglakov probably would have continued and his money combined with the increase in prize money from Jules getting those points in Monaco would have seen the team operate on a far more stable financial base.

Good job Suzuka stewards!

Yes they shouldn't have been on the track in a tractor, but I think it's harsh to pin the blame on them for losing their backing. Jules didn't have to drive so fast in extreme wets either :o

He did, that was the problem. F1 drivers push the limits of what is allowed. If they don't, they lose put because everyone else is. So it was a fault of the system for allowing it.
ANYWAY, it's very sad news.
I can only hope they find a backer asap, because otherwise their 2017 will be so compromised, it will mean another very lean year and any takeover will just be papering over the cracks for the same to happen next year :(
