Bought some DDR3 ram for a PC in the office.
It's a fairly modern PC:
HP Pro 3400 Series MT
Intel Core i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz
But it only had one stick of 2 GB DDR3 ram.
I bought two 4GB sticks of compatible ram for the PC to bump it up to 8GB in total.
My supplier did send me a message to say I should make sure the PC would accept 8GB of ram.... but I thought it's modern and I cant think of any reason why it wouldn't like 8GB so I went ahead and bought it.
Lo and behold the PC wont post with the RAM installed. Theres no beeps or anything...
Why would the PC not boot with 8GB of compatible ram?

In reality I haven't checked if it is compatible, that's my suppliers job.
It fits and it has the same specs etc.... just doesn't work!

The RAM they have sent me is crucial RAM. I did a quick Google for compatible ram and it's pointing me towards the Crucial website.
