Hey guys, I am struggling with this memory a lot.

The hardware is Asus sabertooth x79, latest bios update - 4801,
processor i7-3930. The memory is F3-14900CL10Q, I have enough power in my PSU, it's a Cougar GX V3 1050W 80 Plus Gold Modular.

I had 32 gb of memory to begin with, then I bought another 32 gb, exactly the same type. Came brand new, sealed etc.

Put them on the board, first boot was perfect, said 64 gb, got in windows for about 10 minutes, then crashed with blue screen.

After that I started to get all sorts of weird sizes in Bios and Windows. I've seen, 48, now 45. I tried a number of things to see if I can get it all to work again.

The Bios shows all 8 slots filled, with the correct type and clock, G Skill, 8 GB, DDR3 1866. Still reports 45 and so does Windows. CPU-Z reports 64, Speccy reports 64, all slots fine.

i tried to raise the voltage on memory, went from 1.5 to 1.65 - no difference. I tried a lower clock 1333, no difference. Auto OC, XMP, No OC, no difference.

Any ideas what else I can try?
