z170 mb to overclock a non k skylake 6400?

hi

are there are micro atx skylake ddr4 motherboards able to overclock a 6400 skylake?

currently using a gb h110m-s2hp and 2100 ddr4 6400 and a 1060..i actually went from an i3 6100 to this 6400 and I think the i3 was faster lol

Asrock z170M OCF allows this, just select 2D or 74 in the microcode menu. Maybe also Asus boards that have the bios flashback method.

ok thankyou I will have a look at that,i have always used gigabyte boards since I can remember and never had one fail, but willing to try another brand if it means I can overclock

thanks I bought that mb and managed to oc very nicely..took some learning about voltages and had to input the vccio and system agent voltages manually to 1.2v otherwise it would fail boot up,but I had it running at 4.5 ghz comfortably but settled on 4ghz as it seems a good compromise.
