My 980 Ti is 6 months old. Before that the last card I bought was a GTX 780 in Oct 2013, though I'd been using a GTX 970 since March 2015 as an RMA replacement for the 780.

That's the longest I've been between GPU purchases, before the 780 I had a 680 for a 126 months, a 570 for 18 months before that and a 5850 for 14 months before that (what a beast). Prior to that it was a 4870 for 18 months, an X1950 PRO for 2 years, a 6800 GT for about 18 months and my 9800 PRO for 2 years (approximations of course).

I got back into PC gaming about 5yrs ago, at that time i built a cheap AMD dozer 8120 rig. At the time the AMD 6850's were around 100pound so i bought one of them, not long after there was one on offer for 65pound so i whacked another in and crossfired them which was ace. Unfortunately when i bought watchdogs, along with many other problems it didnt like crossfire, so i sold the pair and bought a single R9 280 3GB which i still have. Soon to be an Rx480 though. :)

I've had 4670, 6850/70 (don't remember), 7870 but should have kept the 7970 I bought then sold!

Anyhow it'll be nice to buy a new GPU for once ;)

560Ti (2011) in one PC and a 770(2013?) in another.

Looking to my next GPU soon to move the 770 to replace the 560Ti. Until recently I've not really seen any major performance increase in my price range.
