Hi all I would like some help and advice if possible please. Is my gpu working as it should be?

Full spec in sig!

A few things;

1) Sometimes it will boost to 2025Mhz on the core, other times only 2012Mhz, or lower, why? Also boost is advertised at 1835Mhz?

2) Power consumtion is only at a max of 75%? Why am I not getting 100% at full load?

3) Are my benchmark scores ok?

4) Only used up 1.2GB GPU Memory with 3DMark?

5) My 12v rail is showing a solid constant 12v in HWMonitor, so thats not holding anything back?

6) In 3DMark it shows my GPU clocks as this Clock1633 MHz (1633 MHz) not 2025Mhz?

7) In 3DMark it shows my CPU clock as 3.4Ghz not thr 4.4Ghz OC?

My 3DMark scores are;

Firestrike - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9529163

Firestrike Extreme - http://www.3dmark.com/fs/9394988

Here is a GPUZ screen with it showing all MAX values while benches have been running;

Any advice much appreciated! :D

I'd say your scores are fine unless mine are duff too.:D

The boost isn't a static max boost, it's variable within the power/heat envelope and they only advertise a base minimum boost, it's pot luck what you get after the advertised boost but the Amps Iv'e seen in here have been 1950MHz+ out the box.

3D mark does the clocks different for me depending what mood it's in:p, always [email protected], sometimes I get oc'ed clocks in the results sometimes just stock clocks.

Yep, boost wise yours is basically the same as my 1070 amp extreme. Goes to 2025 initially, then 2012, then down to 2000mhz. It is just how boost works on these things.

There is a lot more in that card yet, just keep slowly pushing it up.

Ohh impressive. I havn't oc'ed mine yet as it does what I want it to do.

Few questions;

Is that at stock voltage?

WHat software did you use? I already have Zotac's app installed to change the LED colors and oc etc.

If you OC core/mem will it boost to that all the time? As atm mine may boost to 2025 core and then other times 2012, 2000 or even 1999 etc.

Cheers!

Yes Stock voltage, card is the Palit SuperJetstream, software used is what came with the card also used to change the led colour.

In the software interface there is an option for OC,
just move up the sliders to increase the settings, your Zotac should be very similar. Just go slow little increases and see how it goes.

It will hold the clocks you set if the app stays open. (card temp dependant)

My amp extreme scores are almost identical with an i5 6600k. My gpu boosts usually settles at 1962 with low to mid 60s temp and 30℅ fan speed. Fan doesn't kick in until 60 degrees by default.

All looks ok to me. As others have said the boost clock will go up and down a little. Mine will sometimes be above 2000, then goes down to 2000 and eventually settles at 1987 when looking at Afterburner.

As for CPU clocks, if you have the full version of 3DMark it will show you a graph of the CPU frequency throughout the test which is very useful. It might sometimes drop during the graphics tests because they are more GPU bound, but in the CPU test and combined test the CPU frequency should not drop from the intended boost frequency. It may be reported at the default clock speed in the results, just as Windows will show it as an i5 @ 3.4GHz.

Tbh, the Zotac app is pretty rubbish, you are better off using it only for the led lighting and use latest beta MSI Afterburner for everything else-oc'ing, monitoring, fan control etc.
