GF needs a new laptop for studies and games, so I'm doing some research.

Games like Rocket League, Peggle.
Study tools: Office, browsing, RStudio.
15-15.6" seems to be a good size to her.

Nice to have but not essential: touchscreen.

So far I've looked at Dell 15 7000 which looks quite powerful, and the Lenovo thinkpad E560 which seems not too much weaker but a more attractive price. Both seem to have great battery life too.

Would really appreciate any other suggestions!
Thanks :)

love the thin and light laptops and the Dell XPS 13 is eye candy. Otherwise I would go for a macbook air.

Thanks all, we went with the Lenovo Yoga 700, 14". Touchscreen, SSD, geforce 940m.
Seemed to be the best option with only a slight compromise on screen size. It plays starcraft 2/rocket league just fine and the mrs is very happy overall.
