** PHANTEKS P400S ECLIPSE GETS THE GLASS TREATMENT **

Available 1st week January, the new Phanteks Eclipse P400S Glass Range. Available in Black, White & Gunmetal Grey, plus Black/Red & Black/White varieties, the P400S Glass adds a lovely tempered glass side panel to the mix, along with a 300mm RGB LED strip to make full use of the view and the RGB LED controller that's included. Other than that, it's the same as the extremely popular Eclipse series in terms of specification, with room for 360mm radiators at the front, 395mm VGA cards and a pair of 120mm fans included as standard.

It's worth pointing out the special editions in particular, with either Black/Red or Black/White versions, featuring coloured PSU shroud, PCI slots, I/O accents & HDD bracket covers. These look extremely nice and are all available at the same pricepoint as the other colours. Stock should land with us in the first week of January so keep an eye out and preorder now to avoid disappointment!

I don't know why Phanteks don't use the magnetic fan filters that Corsair use. So much nicer IMO. Those plastic flaps up top are rather incongruous with the lovely glass side panel. Still, £80 is good for a tempered glass case, so can't really quibble.

The original P400s came with both panels or a rather nice magnetic fan filter for the top fan covers, so you could fit either. I should imagine this one's the same? (Fractal should do that).

I did like the look of the original case - for an extra 20 quid this gives you a glass side and led strip, so it's a good deal.

Does this one have the top fan mounts fixed so you can fit a radiator and fans up there, or is it fans or rad only like the original P400s?

I'll keep the black & red one in mind for my upcoming Ryzen build (assuming Ryzen doesn't disappoint) .
