Unless its watercooled just fire it up, if it is watercooled just check over everything paying close attention to all hoses and connections for any leaks, and ensure everything is tight.

Well it turned on for like a second then turned off for 3 seconds then turns it's self back on. This happens every time I switch it in. But it's all working as it should

I fired up my old PC (purchased in 2009) which has been dormant for 18 months or so, the only issue is the CMOS battery appears to be near the end of its life. The PC boots up okay, only the date and time need to be reset in Windows every time.

I opened up the case thinking it was going to be a quick fix, only to learn that the CMOS battery is buried away and I need to remove a few bits before gaining access - ugh.

Well all seems to be working fine. All updates are complete and even managed to get the oc back to 3ghz first time using the stock voltage and all is stable.

But boy is it slow! The cmos battery I think may be duff. Is it just a chase of changing it for a new one?

The plan is to upgrade it in stages as want to see how Zen does. But in the mean time I am planning to upgrade the following

evga 650 watt gold modular psu
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/evga-gq-650w-80-plus-gold-modular-power-supply-black-ca-030-ea.html

Be quite low profile cpu cooler
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/be-quiet-shadow-rock-lp-low-profile-cpu-cooler-120mm-hs-011-bq.html

2x 80mm fans for exhaust
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/arctic-f8-pwm-co-fan-80mm-fg-038-ar.html

New wireless mouse and keyboard

120GB ssd
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/king...lid-state-hard-drive-sv300s37a-hd-051-ks.html

Il probably won't go Zen but be looking to pick up a second hand i5 cpu and decent mobo which can take a i7 and m2 ssd.

Where I don't have enough time these days to game I don't really see the point of blowing loads of money on setup. as long as it's a decent upgrade over what I have and can play games at 1080p on mid-high I'll be happy

Lastly is it worth upgrading windows 7 pro?

I'd go for a 250gb SSD..if you're building in stages it won't sting too much. 120gb is verging on being too small..
