Asus Rampage IX Formula

Right.
Got that board with an i7 3920k and 16 GB (4x4) Crucial Tactical Tracers 1866 Mhz with LEDs.

But the system won't start anymore.
Then tried with a Corsair Vengeance kit (1600 Mhz 2x8) and a G.Skill Trident X 2400 ki (2x4) and all was good.

Than had a look on the internet - true that the tracers ddr3 series are incompatible with x79 chipsets?

Latest bios for the board.

I had the same problem with the same hardware you have a few years back. Had to switch to Gskill memory.

the tactical tracers work fine in the X79 boards its just early revisions don't. My friend had exactly the same problems with 4 sticks of tactical tracer , i suggested contacting crucial and they replaced them with a revised set free of charge.

I see. And with the revised rams it all worked out?
I mean i went for these RAMs for obvious reasons for the lights show.

I'll contact them and see if they have any in stock.
