ROG Rampage V Edition 10

The new Rampage takes performance to another level but of course, it doesn't stop there. New Aura RGB lighting has been added, including on the PCIe slots and an extra 4-pin RGB-strip header to allow lighting effects to go beyond the motherboard itself. The new SafeSlot PCIe is reinforced to prevent graphics cards from sagging and/or breaking the slot.

Having 40 PCIe 3.0 lanes will work wonders if you have the desire to load up every port and slot. We challange you to fill up the four PCIe X16 slots, a PCIe X4 slot, a PCIe X1 slot, NVMe U.2 port and M.2 slot, a whopping ten SATA ports, four USB 3.1 ports (two Type-A & two reversible Type-C), eight USB 3.0 ports and six USB 2.0 ports. For that you'd need a pretty darn big EATX case!

High-end performance can be expected in every aspect of the board. SupremeFX Hi-FI DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), dual op-amps and headphone amp all controlled by Sonic Radar II audio software to make sure you can hear everything you need to hear in the highest quality possible. Dual Intel Gigabit LAN, 3x3 802.11ac Wi-Fi and GameFirst IV have you covered in terms of network speed and flexibility.

Im torn between this and the MSI X99 titanium. I'm still using my Asus Rampage 2 Extreme X58 mobo. Its been a rock solid setup from day one. However I do like the white/silver finish of the MSI.

That Titanium looks really nice, very unique and something different for a change... won't be to everyone's taste, but black PCB on Rampage V is like every other board, nothing special, which personally I would want for such an expensive product. I thought they would do something to stand out a bit, but even the RGB isn't anything amazing. The Sabertooth looks more special than this, but the Titanium is something else altogether, and it will be cheaper than the Rampage V also. Definitely would be my choice between the two.

This is a very solid board. Training memory better than the previous version with slightly better efficiency and ofcourse an even more extensive feature set, I have been testing it on Broadwell E for a couple of months now and its the best around. I use it in both OrionX and Supernova too says it all really!!

Until ofcourse Edition8 arrives ;)

Looks great, and will no doubt be a solid performer. Having a SLI setup and a Noctua heatsink, I can barely see my board so all that LED McGubbins would be wasted on me.

I'd definitely buy one of these if I didn't already own a RVE.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I was even considering getting the Sabretooth a while back but held out for the refresh boards. I'm probably going to hold fire for now and wait for some pics here and some online reviews/vids for both boards. :)
