I'd like some advice on upgrading, as I'm not sure how the 780 ti compares with the 1070/1080 as no benchmarks include it. Should I get the 1070 or the 1080 or wait for the 1080ti?

Im currently on a 780 and have purchased a 1080

I game at 1440p

If you are at 4k and cant stand anything less than 60fps id wait for a 1080ti

780Ti OC > 980Ti OC I saw gains of ~22% allowing me to game at 1440p with around the same fps as 1080p on the 780Ti

Going to a 1080 OC I expect you will see gains of ~25%. I would personally sell your 780Ti on the bay for £200ish and buy a new 980Ti from somewhere like gumtree for £300-£350. Then wait for the 1080Ti and sell up to fund that in 6-8 months.

If money is no object then just get the 1080 then the 1080Ti in 6 months

Thanks for the input. If the 1080TI is only 6 months away I'll cancel my order for the 1080. For 2k gaming / 1080p virtual reality, is the 1070 enough?

No one knows here the exact date the 1080Ti will be out, the wait for the 980 - 980Ti was 6 months so that's where the guess comes from. I reckon 6 to 12 months is the maximum time frame.

The 1070 will be a bit slower than the 1080 but significantly better for your wallet. Still a very capable 1440p card like the 980Ti, but the 1080 can give roughly 20fps more at 2k in some games.

I have lost the box, but will have the electrostatic bag and box from my new card. Would this affect my ability to sell?

Shouldn't make much of a difference, as long as you can package it well that's the most important thing.

I had a 780ti and am intending to get a 1070, that said and contrary to popular belief around here the 1080 is quite a step up from the 1070, easily 20fps in some of those benches whereas the step from the 970-980 was a tiny one, only 6 fps in some of those benches.
