Hi all,

I need to replace my motherboard as it's always had a problem with one or two things - was once sent off for RMA to fix coil whine which was better but the northbridge was never fixed - it gets far too hot and if temps go 65 deg or above I get a lot of audio stuttering on my external usb sound card...

So the question is - can I replace it with a brand new one or would I be looking at a second hand board...

The model is a Gigabyte X58A-UD3R ... with an i7 930 CPU and 6GB RAM on.

Many thanks for any advice!

I think those boards were end of line quite a while ago. I'd imagine it will be a case of second hand. See what others say first.
