Introducing the Eclipse P400 & P400S series of cases from Phanteks. These are the newest entries to the Phanteks range. There are 9 models in total, available in standard or noise dampened with or without window, in either Black, Gunmetal Grey or White. All models have RGB functionality with 10 preset colours, plus with the addition of a seperate cable from Phanteks (PH-CB_RGB4P - more info on that soon) they can be connected to the new Asus Aura RGB motherboards and controlled by the supplied software, making them the first Aura ready cases on the market.

To put it simply, these cases represent fantastic value for money. They are solidly made from steel throughout, with room for a 360mm front radiator, a PSU shroud for a tidy look, 2 fans installed as standard and with up to 395mm VGA, 270mm PSU & 170mm CPU cooler support, they give you plenty of space for most enthusiast hardware.

I make no secret of the fact I am a huge fan of everything Phanteks has released, however even with this in mind I will still say that I think the Eclipse P400 and P400S are going to be the BEST cases available on the market at this price. The level of features, build quality and aesthetics on offer for a product starting at £52.99 and topping out at £62.99 is phenomenal and is better value than anything else around this price that's currently available. We should have the Black and Grey models available at the start of March, with the white models following towards the end of March. Preorder now!

WOW! That price... OK, where's the catch? Too good to be true surely??!

Is this is a special pre-order price, will it increase?

Nope, the only increase we will ever see on these cases are if the exchange rate drops significantly, if not, these are the RRP's that will remain in place permanently.

The Eclipse is getting some very good reviews, the only critical reviews have been from Gamers Nexus who were unhappy with the cost of the extra's and OC3d who liked the case but were very unhappy that an AIO isn't goint to fit in the top. Neither issue will affect me so i am very happy to have pre ordered.

P400S vs Evolv ATX (forgetting the price difference for a second), which offers better cooling with the use of a Predator 360 mounted up front? Or are they damn near equal?

I've got the itch to upgrade my case from itx to a "proper" case, liking the look of this and would want to get the ekwb predator 360 eventually, only problem is my Noctua nhd-15 won't fit it this in the meantime

There's always the Intel stock cooler ;)

I think I'll give that a miss lol I decided to go for the be quiet silent Base 600 in the end, it's not as water cooling friendly so I will have to rethink that side of things but I was looking for the quietest case possible and there's something about the case I like the look of
