AHCI BIOS Post message?

Hi

I've just installed my first SSD. I neglected to switch from IDE to AHCI mode in BIOS and installed windows. Found a regedit fix that lets you change it post win installation and it seems to have worked. I am now in AHCI mode as confirmed by the Samsumg SSD software.

Is this normal??? I've never seen this before in my life and assume it's either supposed to be there in AHCI mode, or it's not? It kinda looks like an error message to me.

i take it that the PC is checking all Sata ports for HDD\SSD\CD etc but it can only find two of them (your SSD and CD drive) so unless you have anything in the other ports that is displaying "not detected" you don't have a issue.

the other thing you could do is disable the sata ports your not using in the bios and it shouldn't come up with them messages, you have 6 ports in total and 2 of them in use going from that screen shot

Yes that's perfectly normal.
