NAS drive as storage drive in pc?

I just want to double check that there will be ok to run a NAS-hdd as a storage drive in a normal pc without any issues? Like WD Red or the new Seagate IronWolf drives?

I'm planning to have a storage drive for my music, series and movies, so the drive won't be used 24/7, well possibly the music will be played most of the time while I'm at home and awake..

That's kinda the only reason to pay the extra for a NAS drive over a normal desktop HDD, a NAS drive is essentially a regular drive that's optimized for 24/7 use.

It will be fine.

This is the beauty of buying a NAS though, low powered device that is on 24/7 and all of your devices on the network can access it.

Buy two of them. One for the data, the second for a backup of that data.

you mean as a raid or just 2 separate drives with the same stuff on them?

I would have two separate, raid isn't a backup.
