3000mhz ram any use?

Hi guys.

Last week there was some team elite 3000mhz ram on the weekly deals. £53.99 for 2x8Gb. Its not on offer any more so i am back looking at 2400mhz ram for £49.99.

Will that be ok for an i5-6600k/z170 system, or should i hold out in the hope that a weekly offer comes back on the 3000mhz ram?

I'd want 3000mhz minimum as some performance gains can be had plus latter on down the road you will feel it more.

3000Mhz is a good spot, especially for cost. You can pay through the teeth for the really high frequency ram that doesn't have too much of a gain for the money.

On Skylake take 3000+ for sure bandwidth really helps this CPU fly.
