Hi guys,

I am looking for a freesync monitor, preferably 27"+ and preferably 1440p+.

I've been looking at the Asus MG279Q a lot and it seems like a great monitor marred by reliability issues. Are there any more around that price tag, maybe up to another £100 more that anyone can recommend over it?

Thanks for any input.

I brought the XF270HU here for £380 the other week awesome monitor but does have some bleed in bottom and top right side but only visible on very dark scenes, the pros outweigh the cons coming for another 1440p 60hz ips monitor.

If you are worried about QC then the Dell isn't bad for QC but comes with G-Sync and is TN although comes in at under £400. (Might not be a bad thing considering how Nvidia are owning the GPU compartment atm)

Thanks I'll definitely take a look at the monitor you mentioned and if anyone else has any other ideas please let me know.

I am not too interested in going G-sync because of the costs involved. It would be £300+ for a card better than my 390X and then another £400-500 for a monitor so I am trying to avoid that if possible. Thanks for the idea though.

I heard overdrive does not work properly when Freesync is being used with the Acer XF270HU. Hence why hardly anyone seems to have one. That monitor does look great on paper though.

Well there are the LG 34UC88(34 inch 3440x1440 75hz freesync) which you might get lucky and find on sale for around 550-570 quid otherwise its around 640( i dont know why it costs so much in the UK). There are also the 34um68 but thats 2560x1080 34 inch 75hz freesync but with surprising clarity considering the screen size and resolution and it costs around 390 quid.
