I have always feared something like this happening. I seriously hope he gets better :(

Lets just remember what happened to Felipe Massa and he made a full recovery. Lets hope for the same.

What about Simoncelli though? He was also apparently lucid and talking.

Brains are funny old things when they get a serious knock, these things really can go either way.

Yep they are. My grandad's had 3 strokes and a brain haemorrage (sp?) - he had both together and was incredibly close to dying. He was back playing golf 5 weeks later and you'd think nothing was ever wrong with him!

Ross Brawn is holding a press conference tomorrow at 10am GMT. That's not good - you'd expect family or his manager to do it rather than a personal friend, which is all Brawn is to Schumacher now.

Family probably trust Ross to handle any press better than they could.
