1080p too so not super taxing on gfx

That's a good price but 1080p on a 27" just does not look good to me. Easier on the card as you say though, my 1440p 27" will soon be needing more power to keep FPS up.

This would have been great for me earlier this year but I'm happy with my 2x 27" monitors at the moment even though only one of them is 144Hz.

Don't think we will see a hot deal on 1440 for a very long time, the Dell 27" 2560x1440 144Hz G-Sync we did at £379.99 a few months back is now impossible, they cost us more than that to buy 100+ trade at a time......

What we need is some larger than 27" 16:9 1440p models with adaptive sync (g or free)

There's a cheap 32" 1080p Samsung with freesync but I'm not too sure about 1080p at 32".
