Kap why do you run different cpu speeds for amd and nvidia, shouldn't you do them both at the same speeds, 4ghz or 4.4ghz on your 6950x

At those fps it won't make any difference.

If you overclock a CPU and it does not need it you can actually lower the score as the PC does not need it and it can lead to inefficiency.

Running a CPU @4.0 instead of 4.4 is not a factor when the GPU is only managing 29fps.

Here is an example of what I mean,

This is what I used for the bench thread

RX 480 @1380/2200
6950X @4.0
16.9.2 Drivers
1080p

DX11

And here is the same settings but with the CPU @4.4

GTX 1060. Kaap, would it be possible to bench once with more normal settings and see how much you need to drop in order to achieve 60fps with the 1060?

I expect our results with SLI 1080p resolution is as close as they are as there is a CPU bottleneck at that point. My 5960x was maxed out on a core and no doubt likely the case with your 6950x which explains how the 1080's even slightly behind your Pascal TX's come that close to one another.

Would be neat to see a Skylake 6700k OC'd with a Titan X Pascal SLI or 1080 SLI and see how that fares and if its better IPC helps.

It is a very bad bottleneck @1080p with 2 cards.:)

Scoreboard updated.:)

Not for the scoreboard
