This vs a 980? Much in it?

Reasonably close. The 980 probably wins more than it loses but the 390 closes the gap at higher resolutions. If the 390 can't play it then a 980 isn't going to fair much better.

IMO a great card for the money.

Money no object go straight to 980Ti

From what I've read it seems to trade blows more with the 970 and IMO needs to be priced another £20 lower to appeal more.

This is cheaper than most of the 970s and has 8gb
And obviously it depends on games but the 390 beats the 970
The recent the division beta the 390 cained the 970 and isnt The Division an "nvidia games" title?

I think for the price, this is an excellent card

great card, got this in the black Friday deal and not had any issues with it at all :)

Same here.

Very nice card indeed, also no issues at all. This card replaced my Asus 280X Matrix Platinum and it absolutely owns it, something I was not expecting. I was pleasantly surprised.
