Spec me speakers to use with new dac

I bought a Topping vx1 dac for my dad to use with his laptop, just after some advice for a pair of bookshelf speakers to use with it. Probably don't want to spend much more than £100. Any advice / recommendations appreciated.

Amp spec :
Output power: 25W@4ohm, 10% THD+N / 14W@8ohm, 10% THD+N
Distortion: 0.05%THD+N@9W/4ohm

Getting envy when I look at my 2010i's now

Great choice on the VX1, I've had mine nearly a year and it's great. Got mine paired with a couple of Q-Acoustics 3010s, but the 2020is for £100 are a real bargain.

Thanks. I tested the VX1 with my KRKs and I was impressed. I bought the 2020is yesterday and am going over tonight to set it up for my dad. I think he will be pleased!

As a vx1 user you might be able to help me. Do you know if the usb input on the vx1 will work with a mac or i pad? I had thought my dad would primarily be using it with a windows laptop but he has been given some new toys through work.
