my heavily modded atari 800xl and 1050 disk drive. the 800xl was upped to 256k (from 64) with a new operating system which i cant remember the name of right now lol. The 1050 drive has a happy board installed, double density (180k OMG!!!!) and faster transfer speeds

bit grubby but it works perfectly. i got 3 disk drives for it actually, a partially working tape deck and an original joystick. you know - the ones that gave you horrific blisters LOL. now for that, ive got around 1000 disks in boxes in the loft lol. Im trying to find my original atari 800, that really is OLD lol.

The SuperGrafx was the PC Engines successor and NEC's answer to the super nintendo. It never really took off due to the fact only 6 games were released for it.

And lets not forget the Holy Grail of all home consoles the Neo Geo. Games were *£200* each and this was back in 1990. Now you can pick the games up for £5 or so on ebay though some of the ultra-rare ones can cost many times there original price.

The console had a long life span, the last game for it being made in 2004. I use to drool over pictures of these for hours in 'Computer & Video Games' magazine.

yeah my neighbour's got a neo geo. between us we got some real classics

I'm tempted to buy one and start collecting the games they're that cheap. You can get Neo Geo emulators for the xobx but that's not quite the same.

Who could forget the Sega Nomad, It's a megadrive....handheld.... It was the size of a house and took 67 batteries :) but did actually have a few good ideas like TV-Out and a MD gamepad port for 2 player mode.
