HDD showing i've got less space than i should have.

Hi guys,
i have a 120gb SSD which correctly shows ive got 111gb to use however, at present it says ive got 31GB left but i've only used 46gb . this has been verified with ExplorerXP, and common sense.
i've tried everything to find where the missing 30GB has gone but i have no idea, if any one has any suggestions? i've deleted old system restores, hibernation mode deactivated. everything!

Check the partitions.

only 1 partition my friend

open disk cleanup and see if there is a old windows folder needing deleted. only thing i can think of.

System restore, takes up space using a hidden folder

over provisioning maybe... you don't say brand but some use software etc to set it although 30% is a little high.

Other than that you could use one of the many disk drive analysis tools to see how it's being used

I guess my money would be on some kind of system restore type affair.

I use Treesize Pro at work to track down where disk space has gone. The pro version does find hidden folders that even the free version of Treesize read properly

its some stupid issue with IE10 logging files with fuslogvw.exe... 40gb of logged files!!!!
