I have a question for moving from HDD to SDD on my boot up disc. the problem i seam to have is.
At the moment am using a 750 HDD for my OP system. but when i tried connecting a SSD from my previous PC though one of the other sata plugs. PC refused to boot. as soon as i removed it, pc booted up as normal. is there some thing in the bios i have to switch for this to work.
With thanks in advice

sounds like its trying to boot from the SSD when connected.

connect the SSD and check in the bios what its trying to boot from, if its the SSD change it back to the HDD.

Can I plug the data cable in the mobo with the SSD all ready connected. Like power up pc normally with power going to SSD. Then when in the bios plug SSD in and see what happens?

If connecting any cables or disconnecting any i would do it with the PC off.

Power off the PC, connect the SSD and power it on. go in to the bios and check the boot order. change HDD to the first boot drive
