A refinement of the other build thread.

Spec items and price Valid as of 28th January 2009

Now i will have these builds:

TOWER:
£300

£500

£750

£1000

£1250


FULL:
£750

£1000

£1250


HTPC:
£400

£700

£1000

I will update each of these after every week on a Wednesday, after the This week Deals are up

Hopefully this will help a lot of people, and in turn lead to less spec me threads.

but the LED is the same price as the normal one, atm. why not :)

and the price wont let me have 2x500GB F1s.

i need help on the £1250 tower though, dont think i have it right.

Oh, hadnt realised, guess you may as well.

You'd be £10 over. I'd go with one F1 if you don't want to go over, they're great drives.

What've you got so far for the £1250? - i should look with my eyes no? will look over that spec now.

I'd change it to a 790i board, with 4gb DDR3 RAM (8gb is a waste fo time atm, let's be honest)

Unless you need the space I'd raid) two 500gb F1 drives

other than that I can't see an issue.

raid 0 or raid 1 as raid0 will give you 1TB.

and what speed DDR3, 1600 or 1333?

plus i have read around everywhere

intel chipsets>>>>>>nvidia.

well it's their decision, whether they want space or performance with the raid.

Whichever RAM will fit in the budget.

Intel are better, but I said 790i because of the sli support I guess it does depend on what the individual wants.

aye thats true. from next weeks this week only, every two weeks i will update the specs.

and all the F1TBs ill change to two 500GBF1s as it will save about a tenner :)
