Well I have got both of them now, I thought I might as well and make a thread for the comparison.

I have got both of them set up with the same thing on both. The Dell is better so far. The BenQ's colours are rubbish. I have tried to change the settings but it is still the same. The only think to make them a bit deeper is to change mode to another one. But all the other modes are make the text really blurry.

Sorry for the picture quality I just quickley took them with my mobile. I will take some proper ones later.

I was thinking how could the BenQ be so bad...

I was playing Crysis at the start it looked crap but then when I loaded the game and was in the level, the BenQ looked just as good as the Dell. I have now swaped the cables around from the graphics card and now the BenQ is like the Dell was and the Dell is like the BenQ was.

Im going to put them on their own and see what happens.

Here are some pictures of Transformers (DVD). They both are very good. The Dell might have a bit better colour and blacks. On the pictures the BenQ to the right end of the screen the colour may seem washed out but that is because sunlight was on the BenQ.

The BenQ is on the right and the Dell is on the left.

Hey great thread Usama ! . Already have the Dell, as iam pleased iam not going to study the pics too much in case i get disapointed ! :) .

A gripe with the Dell i have and i feel it is a big one is the audio lag. The monitor has the OSD option for audio power saving but it seems to be bugged. Wether the option is on or off the audio output has a 5 sec delay for it to start. Once you have a constant stream it is fine but any slight pause will reset the delay for a couple of secs atleast.

It's not a complete biggy for me as i can route all the audio i need for PC,360,PS3 through my mobo and onto my PC speaker setup. But as i bought the soundbar to go along with the screen, its not kinda useless. Will start to chase up DELL on this issue and see what can be done, although i'am not going to do a swap as otherwise the screen is fine, no dead pixals ect.

A favour you could do for me m8 is if you can, to test if the HDMI port on the DELL is HDCP, i've heard the DVI input is but untill i have a BLU-RAY disk i cant test this all out.

How would I check if it is?

I put the Dell on the PS3 last night. At first I did not think it was going to be very good. But it was stunning for Blu-Ray movies for £200. And it was good for games as well. :smashin:

Here are some pictures, sorry for taking so long.

The first thing you must do is set the RGB Range to Full, otherwise there colours will not be right.

I have go the £500 Dell 2408WFP next to it, it does very well for a £200 monitor. :smashin:

The PQ is very detailed and clear. And the 16:9 1080p is good, no black bars.

Will add some more pictures of games later.

Great pictures and review.

I just tried out my S2409W on my PS3 and played National treasure book of secrets bluray DVD - looked very sharp, crisp and clear.
I also tried out Planet Earth and it looks stunning for a £200 monitor.
