Hi all,

I recently purchased this psu, and after reading up online about lower priced psu's having tantrums and blowing up I am now incredibly paranoid to be putting this PSU to the test, does anybody have any info on this PSU in particular?

I've found reviews online vary, from absolutely terrible to good, so any light anybody could shine on this topic would be mahoosively appreciated.

Thanks all,
Rob

It is basically a cheap and nasty psu. Always go for quality brands like Corsair, Antec, Ocz etc is my advice.

Well i wouldn't chance using one in a decent set up. If you have a cheap basic set up then it will probably be fine.

Palit GeForce GTS 450 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £79.99 1 £79.99
AMD Athlon II X3 Tri Core 445 3.10GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail £49.99 1 £49.99
ASRock M3A770DE AMD 770 (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard £44.16 1 £44.16
OCZ Gold 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Low-Voltage Dual Channel (OCZ3G1333LV4GK) £34.99 1 £34.99
Western Digital RE2 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM (WD5000YS) £26.66 1 £26.66
OcUK 22x DVD±RW SATA ReWriter (Black) - OEM £10.82 1 £10.82
TP-Link Wireless 54g PCI Card (TL-WN350G)

That cheapy? In total that adds up too 300

Yeah looks like it, you get what you pay for with a PSU.

Between the two rails on it its only got 42 amps, my cooler master has 40 amps and its only rated for 600w continuious power, 720 maximum. So that CIT's wattage isnt good for a constant 700w, its true continuious power will be less and it will have lower quality components as well. Theres quality 400w PSU's that cost more than it does.

Check the reviews for it on the jungle site that rhymes with umm ramazon.

Receipt has pulled a houdini

Payed for it all today, first comp build so I just wanna know what goes where really.

@Chuggerboom- Couldn't I ask for compensation from Cit if it does mess up?

Good question? But i doubt you would get anywhere, they would probably just replace the psu. Get a decent quality psu like i and other people have advised you to. I personally wouldn't take the chance with a generic power supply.
