Hey guys,

So, as the title says I have 8GB (2x4GB) of Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz with MSI P67A-G45 and Intel i5-2500k.

In MSI's Control Center the RAM was reporting running at 1333 (667) MHZ, and it's voltage was ~1.65V.

I went into the BIOS, changed the speed to 1600 and the voltage to 1.507V.

Now in Control Center it shows correct voltage but the speed is still being shown as 1333MHz.

Any help would be great!

Thanks in advance! :)

Thanks Surveyor! Just as you replied I had CPU-Z open and seen that it does in fact say 800MHz (798.2 to be precise).

I take it this means everything is fine?

Yes.

It looks like the MSI Control Centre is reporting the speed incorrectly.

If you're bothered with it being 798.2MHz turn off Spread Spectrum in the BIOS and it should go to 800MHz.

Perhaps it doesn't actually read the speed the RAM is actually running at but the SPD data.

If you look at the SPD tab in CPU-Z 1333MHz might be the highest value given as 1600MHz is "overclocking".
