I have just built myself a new pc and need a monitor to go with it. I have singled out this monitor and was hoping someone could re assure me that its a good quality monitor.

Also if anyone knows whats its static contrast ratio is - Not the dynamic contrast ratio.

Monitor model name
23.6" Asus VE247H LED, 1920 x 1080, 2ms, 300 cd/m, HDMI/D-Sub/DVI-D

Ps if you have any suggestions to other good quality monitors it would be appreciated.
It will be used only for gaming and every day PC tasks. Internet etc..

Looking to spend around £150 and would prefer a 23 - 24 inch monitor.

Thanks :)

Opps will didnt know :D

Hi there,

If you will mainly be playing fast-paced games, then a 120Hz TN panel monitor like the LG W2363D would be a good investment (so long as you are going to be using it with a graphics card that can produce more than 60FPS in modern games).

If you don't plan on playing particularly fast paced games, then you may want to consider going for an IPS panel monitor like the ASUS ML239H. It's not as responsive as the above 120Hz LG, but the colour accuracy and viewing angles are much better and it is still fast enough to play most games very well (here is an in-depth review).
