Vlambeer's take on the Serious Sam franchise is nearly upon us. It's called Serious Sam: The Random Encounter, it's due for release on October 24th on Steam, and it's hella fun.
You control Sam as he tries to take down Mental via a series of random, turn-based encounters. You pick weapons for each of your team mates, and then dodge up and down the screen for the next five seconds. Then you do it all over again, until every enemy on the screen is deceased. I've had a good old go of the game, and can tell you that this is very much worth looking forward to - but of course, you already knew that.
The game is coming to Steam on October 24th for $4.99.
