New Gaming PC for £650

One of my friends is looking to build his first gaming PC.
Hes hoping to play Total War: shogun 2 on ultra settings as well as other games such as battlefield 3.

Monitor, keyboard and mouse will not be included within the £650 budget.
**For the monitor he intends to also play his xbox on it, so suggestions for a decent 23" monitor will be grateful.

Windows 7 is also not needed

Hes willing to stretch his budget aswell so reasons to go beyond the budget are welcome, Thank you in advance.

this is a good mid-high end spec, and pretty much what i would recommend if you have the extra cash willing to stretch.
if not just drop the samsung 830 and you'll be within budget +/- 30 quid

Problem with green HDD's is they are slower so you want one with a 7200 RPM speed preferably like I linked.
